Challenge Overview

As a non-profit organization, Escola da Nuvem relies on sponsors to sustain its operations. One of its main financial supporters, AWS, requires detailed reports demonstrating the impact of its training programs. These reports include employment data, certification achievements, and career advancements, such as job placements in IT roles and professional promotions.
Previously, this process was handled manually by interns and volunteers, who reviewed student profiles on LinkedIn and updated spreadsheets in a repetitive and time-consuming manner. With over 6,000 students registered in the NGO’s CRM, the manual approach became unsustainable due to high error susceptibility, low traceability, and an excessive investment of time and resources. Without a scalable solution, Escola da Nuvem risked missing sponsor deadlines, jeopardizing its financial support and long-term sustainability.

Solution Overview

Enkel, in partnership with AWS, developed an advanced technological solution using Generative AI through AWS Bedrock. This technology played a key role in automating and optimizing the data collection and analysis process, eliminating the need for manual validation and significantly improving operational efficiency.
The solution was structured into clear stages. The system automatically accesses student profiles stored in the NGO’s CRM, analyzes the available professional data, and classifies the information based on predefined criteria, such as:
• Whether the student is employed in an IT-related role
• Whether they experienced career relocation
• Whether they achieved a promotion

Once processed, the system updates the CRM automatically, ensuring a reliable and ready-to-use data source for generating the reports required by AWS.
The solution development included extensive prompt engineering, refining Generative AI models to handle ambiguous cases, such as vague or incomplete profile descriptions. Additionally, the architecture was designed for scalability and efficiency, allowing large datasets to be processed without overloading the infrastructure.

Results and Benefits

The implementation of this solution completely transformed Escola da Nuvem’s operational processes. By automating the workflow, the NGO eliminated bottlenecks, replacing an error-prone manual process with a scalable and reliable system. Moreover, the time required for data processing was drastically reduced, enabling the NGO to generate reports much faster.
From a financial perspective, the cost per execution to process the entire 6,000-student database was only $13.50, demonstrating an outstanding cost-benefit ratio. The accuracy and reliability of the collected data improved significantly, allowing Escola da Nuvem to meet the goals set by AWS, secure the renewal of its sponsorship, and ensure funding for another year of operations.
Beyond immediate improvements, the solution also opened new possibilities for the NGO. Inspired by the project’s success, Escola da Nuvem began exploring new AI applications, such as:
